We invite proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with WACV 2027, which will take place in person in Orlando, FL. Workshops are scheduled for January 4th and 5th, 2027.

Workshops should focus on topics related to computer vision and its applications, as well as interdisciplinary themes, emerging challenges, or community-building initiatives. Proposals that explore novel application areas or foster collaborations between computer vision and other scientific domains are especially encouraged.

Workshop organizers will have significant autonomy over the format, style, and content of their sessions. They will be responsible for: Managing the workshop's technical program; Inviting expert speakers; and Maintaining a dedicated workshop website.

All workshop organizers and presenters must participate in person. Virtual workshops or remote presentations will not be accommodated.

Accepted workshops will be held on either January 4th or 5th, 2027.

Submission Guidelines

Workshop proposals must follow the official template (available Here) and must not exceed three (3) pages, including all content. Proposals exceeding the page limit may be rejected without review. Upon acceptance, organizers are required to launch a public workshop website within one week of notification. The website must include:

Workshop proposals should be submitted in the form of a single PDF through OpenReview:

We especially welcome workshops that aim to strengthen or establish new communities within the field of computer vision.

Proposals will be evaluated by the workshop chairs and conference organizers, with an eye towards selecting high-quality workshops on a diverse set of topics that will inform and inspire the community.

Registration for Workshop Attendees

All participants at WACV workshops, including organizers and invited speakers, must be registered attendees. Accepted workshops will be allocated 2 full (i.e., workshop plus main conference) and 1 workshop-only registration passport.

For Accepted Workshops – Please Read Carefully

Accepted workshops will be held on January 4th or 5th, 2027.

At least one workshop organizer and all presenters must attend in person.
Virtual workshops or fully remote presentations will not be accommodated (though you may independently arrange for a limited number of virtual talks if absolutely necessary).

Organizers are expected to set up your workshop website and issue a call for papers (CFP, if applicable) by August 25, 2026 , and send us the link as soon as possible so it can be added to the official WACV 2027 website.

On your workshop webpage, please clearly indicate whether accepted papers will be published in the WACV 2027 proceedings. Paper reviews for WACV 2027 workshops should run through OpenReview (i.e., no CMT).

Finally, note the following key timeline:

Workshop websites live by: August 25, 2026
Author notification deadline (for archival papers): October 30, 2026
Metadata of accepted papers due to IEEE (for archival papers): November 2, 2026
Camera-ready deadline (for archival papers): November 20, 2026

The submission deadline for camera-ready papers is November 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. This deadline applies to all accepted papers. Papers that arrive after the deadline may not appear in the conference proceedings and in IEEE Xplore.
