WACV 2027 Broadening Participation Scholarships
Broadening Participation
The WACV community is strongly committed to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within the computer vision research community. Diversity encompasses many dimensions, including gender, race, ethnicity, age, disability, religious belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, geographical location, and cultural background. There is no place for discrimination, harassment, or hatred in the WACV community or elsewhere.
For WACV 2027, the Broadening Participation Chairs are working closely with the conference organizing committee and Doctoral Consortium Chairs to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible conference experience. Specifically, we aim to:
- Encourage diversity and inclusion among workshop and tutorial organizers, invited speakers, and conference participants.
- Encourage workshop and tutorial proposals that examine challenges related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility from technical and societal perspectives.
- Support students and early-career researchers from communities historically underrepresented at WACV through travel grants and conference registration waivers.
If you have questions, concerns, or feedback regarding Broadening Participation initiatives at WACV 2027, or would like to get involved, please contact the Broadening Participation Chairs (Srijan Das, Peirong Liu) by email at wacv2027bp@googlegroups.com.
